Mom and I in Chicago

This past weekend, Mom came out to visit me in Chicago. We accomplished a great deal in about 3 days, and I'll post pictures soon, but in the meantime, here's a sample of what we did in C-town.

Friday:
~Experienced Taste of Chicago (a food fest with about 100 local restaurants represented)
~Visited the Hancock Tower, and had dinner in the Signature Room on the 95th Floor

Saturday:
~Took an Architectural Boat Tower along the river, and heard fascinating facts about the city skyscape
~Ate dinner at Local Option, a bar opened by one of the Russomano kids
~Attended a play at Steppenwolf Theatre, Superior Donunts - it was really good!

Sunday:
~Visited Museum Plaza, and spent most of the day at the Shedd Aquarium
~Ate dinner at Bandera

All in all, I think we saw the best of Chicago. It was supposed to rain all weekend, but except for a brief storm while we were in the Aquarium, we had nothing but sun the whole time. And we had a wonderful time together.

Thanks for a great weekend, Mom! Love you!

I'm so glad that you are loving Chicago. I think it's a great city too! However, I'm going to have to echo the last post and say we need an update. What's going on in your exciting life these days?
