You do love me!

So, I was just beginning to wonder if anyone ever read my blog anymore, when I found all of these unmoderated comments, just waiting to be approved by me. This is the result of my being a victim of "blog hijacking" a few weeks ago. I had some comments from people who definitely shouldn't have been commenting on my blog. In trying to keep that from happening, I managed to make the whole blogging world much more complicated for myself.

So, if anyone has any suggestions on how to keep hijacking down while keeping comments up, I'd love to hear it. (Lillian, I think you're the expert on that.) In the meantime, thanks for your comments everyone! It means a lot to me to know you are all out there!

I check your blog almost daily, Katie. When there's a new post, it's sort of like finding $5 in a jacket I haven't worn in a while.

I subscribe to your blog, so I only check it when there's a new post. My time is valuable like that. :)

Go to Settings and enable "word verification" (You already have this on) and disable "comment moderation." This will make people do that squiggly word thing, but the comments will still post automatically and you don't have to approve them. This won't stop all comment hijacking- the moderation will because you can choose which ones to publish, but since it hasn't been a big problem so far, I think the squiggly word box should be enough of an obstacle.

Want more house photos.

Duh, and it looks like you've already disabled moderation. Fine. Waste my time why don't you!

Margo, you should write a book..."sort of like finding $5..." or at least start a blog. Miss you.
