Andie's Birthday Celebration weekend at Kiawah Island, SC

The picture below pretty much says it all. Recently, Anne and I went to SC to meet up with Andie, and her sister, Heather, to celebrate the 30th year of Andie's birth, and it was a total blast. We had such a great time together, and hope to be able to have weekends away together again soon. So much laughter, so much fun. It was hard to leave...

We stayed at Kiawah Island, which is a hoity-toity place along the coast of South Carolina. Here is Anne and Andie in front of The Sanctuary, the only 5 diamond resort on the East Coast (or so they tell us.)



For our first evening, we decided to really enjoy ourselves. We ate great food, drank great wine, and played SPOONS! As mentioned in an earlier post, I was introduced to this game by my cousin Corey, and she gave me a copy of the game for my very own. We had a very good time playing. Almost too good.

The next day, we enjoyed some of the amenties of resort living. The pool.

We decided on one fancy dinner out, at The Sanctuary. Here we are, all fancied up, on our way over to one of their restaurants.

We also encountered some wildlife on the Island. Egrets were all over the place, alligators only rarely. But here is a picture where both were together. And that gator was huge!

All in all, it was a great time. It went by too fast, but it was such a joy to spend time with such great people. Thanks for all the fun, ladies. Love you all.
