While I was living in San Francisco, I started holding an Annual Oscar's Party, and it was always a great party. I gathered all of my favorite women (and Travis!) to eat Trader Joe's food, drink champagne and talk about celebrities. Oh, the fun!
Well, the tradition is continuing in Minnesota. I invited over my favorite Minnesotans, and even though there were less people here, we were still able to make our opinions know. Which is really what the Oscar's party is all about - a chance for me to spend time with the strong, confident women who are such an important part of my life. Thanks, ladies!
(Margaret and Katie P. were missing because they were sick, but we'll catch them next year.)

Looks fun! I thought of you on Sunday. I loved Natalie Portman.

Thanks for the great party! Who won anyway...
Woo hoo - what does Anne get for winning? A free weekend of babysitting from the host? At the host's house? You're welcome, Katie...
Hmmm... I guess I missed the point of your Oscars parties, Katie. I thought they were about unbridled cattiness directed toward the manufactured perfection of celebrities.
I boycotted the Oscars this year because I couldn't watch them with you. And I will not watch them again until I'm at your party.
Margo - then, we'll save you a seat for next year!
