I came into the city on Friday morning, which allowed Samantha and I to engage in one of our rituals - the visiting of the outlets. Oh, the bargains to be had!
We stayed Friday night at Samantha's condo in Hoboken. Its absolutely beautiful! Its full of pictures and items from all of her travels (some with me!) and really reflects her warming and generous personality. And the rooftop patio! 360 views of the area and a great view of the Empire State Building. What a great way to spend my first night there!
On Saturday, we headed into the city, and met up with cousin, Kristine. All three of us headed to the meatpacking district for dinner, and cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery. Yumm!
Sunday, of course, was the race.

Not the greatest picture, I know, but I (borrowed) it from the event website. This is us running through Times Square. If you look through the pixels, I think you can see we were having a great time.

Congratulations, Katie! So I guess you finished in the alotted time and didn't get kicked off the course? I'm so proud of you!!
You're a rockstar. Next year you can ask Connie to race you!
Whoo hoo! Go Katie!
As someone who runs only when chased, I must say I'm impressed! You inspire me to get off the couch!
I know our triathlon wasn't quite like those that James and Anne did this summer, but come on... Would you really want to swim in the Hudson River???? Shopping and dining are way better events! I'm so glad you came to visit. A little heat is nothing when you don't have to climb Mt Everest at mile 6! Please come back any time you'd like!
